After a sluggish first half where the defence was lacklustre and the offence not much better, Milwaukee came out in the second half and overpowered the Chicago Bulls to gain their first win of the preseason. Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard led the Bucks in the scoring column, combining for 44 points. Conversely, AJ Johnson showed his youth in this one after a terrific outing against the Lakers, going a dastardly 2/15 from the field. For the Bulls, who rested a large part of their rotation, it was rookie Matas Buzelis, Adama Sanogo, and new addition Talen Horton-Tucker who starred.
