Without MVP candidate Giannis Antetokounmpo, the Milwaukee Bucks could not hold off a fourth quarter comeback led by a red-hot Stephen Curry, losing to the Golden State Warriors 122-121.
The Bucks played from behind for almost all of the first half. The Dubs got out to a quick 18-5 lead and hit 5 of their first 9 attempts from deep, leading 28-26 at the first quarter horn. Though Milwaukee bounced back from that early 13 point deficit with a 31-12 run—and grabbed a brief 6 point lead early in the second—a 13-3 Jordan Poole-fueled sequence squashed the momentum as the Warriors led 53-50 going into the locker room.
