Milwaukee Bucks head coach Jason Kidd sent sub after sub to the scorers table, looking for a way to spark his team during Wednesday night's season opener against the New York Knicks.
His starters were solid in the opening minutes and then regressed over the course of the game. His bench got outscored, 73-32, with the Knicks reserves dominating the second quarter and setting the tone for the rest of the game. The lead in that period ballooned as high as 16 and never sunk back into single digits.
Kidd used all 11 available players but no mixture made a positive impact in a 122-97 blowout loss to the Knicks at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.
