From the moment he announced his intentions to return to Duke University for his sophomore season last year, Tre Jones had his sights set on the 2020 NBA Draft.
Having arrived to Durham along with the likes of Zion Williamson, R.J. Barrett and Cam Reddish, Jones was the lone high-profile player from that recruiting class to stick with the Blue Devils for another season while those three took the leap into the NBA last summer.
Of course, Jones didn’t have to face the same level of pressure as those three had throughout the year and his underwhelming freshman campaign didn’t help matters in that regard.
