After practically bursting on to the scene based on his breakout campaign this season for Tulane University, junior swingman Melvin Frazier has officially declared for the 2018 NBA Draft.
It’s a remarkable development for the Louisiana-born Frazier, who earned the honor of being named AAC Most Improved Player following the end of Tulane’s 14-17 season, which was helmed by former Milwaukee Bucks head coach Mike Dunleavy Sr.
Frazier’s decision to forgo his senior season is quite unprecedented in the history of the program as he is the first player to leave for the draft before his senior season, according to Guerry Smith of The New Orleans Advocate.
