This college basketball season has been touted as the year of the upperclassmen and that’s been helped by a player like Demetrius Jackson.
The 21-year-old junior out of Notre Dame has grown significantly, as has his role, over his three years at South Bend and Jackson’s timing to the enter the NBA draft couldn’t have gone better.
The former McDonald’s All-American is generally being slotted as a late lottery/mid-first round pick and while there are players that look to have greater potential than Jackson, he certainly has a bright future in the NBA.
However, like all the players that will enter this year’s draft, Jackson isn’t a sure thing and he has some real faults that he’ll have to overcome in order to have a long and lasting career in the league.
