Ben Simmons is the latest in a growing line of great international prospects looking to enter the NBA. The 19-year-old is Australian by birth, but came to the United States in high school to advance his basketball career.
Simmons is now the biggest star in the NCAA, although he’s on an LSU team that really isn’t worthy of his talents. It’s tough to recall the last time a prospect as touted as Simmons has been on a college team that might not even make the March Madness tournament.
Chris Bosh and Stephen Curry both missed the tournament themselves at times–team shortcomings don’t write the book on how a prospect will perform in the NBA, clearly.
