It is a tricky game the Milwaukee Bucks play this offseason — should he stay or should he be allowed to consider going?
He in this case is, of course, general manager Jon Horst. While not one of the guys who is out on the floor doing the playing, whether an organization functions in a more-or-less coherent fashion from top to bottom falls on the GM. Tone-setter, talent evaluator, coordinator between ownership, coaching staff, and playing roster, they are meant to do it all.
Horst has been doing it all since he took up the last of the reins when firing Jason Kidd back in 2018.
