There wasn’t even the faintest hint of rust as the Milwaukee Bucks returned to action following the All-Star break on Thursday night.
It certainly didn’t hurt that the Bucks’ opponent was a Detroit Pistons squad that has rapidly committed to a full-on rebuild, but coming up against an opponent filled with familiar faces, Milwaukee put on something of a show.
Rather than coming back from their All-Star exploits looking tired, based on this performance, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton seemed to take inspiration from the midseason classic.
The Bucks’ star duo combined for 61 points in 64 minutes, and did so while shooting the ball efficiently too.
