On January 25, Thon Maker’s agent relayed the 7’1” center’s dissatisfaction with his role on the Milwaukee Bucks. The Bucks, who currently have the best record in the NBA at 39-13, are poised for playoff success. While the news of Maker wanting out is surprising, the Bucks must move forward accordingly and search for a mutually beneficial trade.
In truth, if Maker’s playoff play translated to the regular season, the Bucks’ brass would not have to worry about making a sudden trade and would likely view Maker as a key rotation piece instead.
Unfortunately, Maker’s production has dwindled.
