It’s official: the Milwaukee Bucks are heading to the Eastern Conference Finals for the first time since 2001.
The Bucks’ 116-91 rout of the Boston Celtics in Game 5 Wednesday night closed out the second round series between both teams and gave the Bucks their second playoff series victory of the postseason.
Considering the number of stakes facing the Celtics heading into the night, the biggest of all being a chance to simply extend their season, the Bucks weren’t tested for any considerable length of time throughout Game 5.
With that, the sold-out crowd inside Fiserv Forum was hanging on to every big shot or play the Bucks had, even though they had trouble fully separating from the Celtics until late in the third quarter.
