The early entry deadline for the 2020 NBA Draft passed last weekend and the decision of Jahmi’us Ramsey was arguably the biggest of those who had not yet entered their hat in the ring.
A five-star recruit that bounced around on the high school circuit between high-profile powerhouses like the IMG Academy and Oak Hill Academy, Ramsey stayed around his hometown of Arlington, Texas to play for Texas Tech University under rising star head coach, Chris Beard.
Over his lone season at Texas Tech, Ramsey showed the scorching scoring ability to lead the Red Raiders in scoring and eventually finish the year as the Big 12’s Freshman of the Year as well as getting second-team All-Big 12 honors.
