Milwaukee Bucks: NBA Draft may still lead to further moves

When the Milwaukee Bucks agreed to trade Tony Snell and the 30th overall pick of the 2019 NBA Draft to the Detroit Pistons on Wednesday night, for many there may have been an element of disappointment.

Although that trade could prove important in Milwaukee’s attempts to retain its key players once free agency opens 10 days from now, with no second round pick either, the move robbed Bucks fans of some of the excitement that usually accompanies the draft.

Milwaukee’s track record in the draft has been extremely mixed over the years, from the highs of Giannis Antetokounmpo to the lows of Joe Alexander, but at the moment a pick is made, there’s always an undeniable sense of promise for what a player can become and how they can help the team’s cause.
