With many believing the first annual NBA Awards Show on Monday night will see Milwaukee Bucks guard Malcolm Brogdon take home the league’s Rookie of the Year award for the recently completed season, there was further good news to start the day.
Although it wasn’t necessarily surprising, the NBA has announced that Malcolm Brogdon has been unanimously selected to the All-Rookie First Team for the 2016-17 season.
The only other player to receive a unanimous selection was one of Brogdon’s reported rivals for Rookie of the Year, Philadelphia 76ers forward Dario Saric.
Meanwhile, Joel Embiid — the other Philadelphia big man rumored to be in the mix for Rookie of the Year — made the team with a total of 89 votes.
