At this point it shouldn’t come as a surprise to anybody, but in a world where nothing is set in stone until it’s officially announced, there would still have been plenty waiting on official confirmation from the teams involved that Michael Carter-Williams and Tony Snell would be swapping cities for the new season.
That announcement finally arrived on Monday morning, with the delay likely coming down to physicals and the need for an official call with the NBA to ratify the deal, as both the Milwaukee Bucks and Chicago Bulls took to Twitter and almost simultaneously confirmed the trade that has been the talk of the NBA since Saturday.
