Before Pat Connaughton takes centerstage for the Slam Dunk Contest, it will be the turn of Khris Middleton to represent the Milwaukee Bucks at All-Star Weekend on Saturday night.
Of course, Middleton will be taking part in the big game under the captaincy of his teammate Giannis Antetokounmpo, but before then his focus will be on the Skills Challenge.
For Middleton, this will be his third time taking in the fun and games of All-Star Saturday, although it will be the first when he’s not participating in the 3-Point Shootout.
In spite of his adept marksmanship from beyond the arc, Middleton’s shooting has never been able to translate to even competent showings in prior 3-point contests, meaning this change of event offers up something of an opportunity for him to redeem himself.
