A rocky third quarter proved to be the difference in the Milwaukee Bucks’ Summer League tilt with the Denver Nuggets Monday night as they lost 90-83 in Cox Pavilion.
After both teams felt their way through the opening few minutes of the game, the Bucks took a hold of a minimal lead before the Nuggets battled back to make the rest of the first quarter a tightly contested one. It was the Nuggets, though, that stood on top after the first as they led 18-17.
The Nuggets added to their control of the lead to start off the second quarter until the Bucks clawed their way back into it by retaking the lead at the 4:40 mark of the period.
