Milwaukee Bucks Draft Profile: Tyler Kolek

It’s my turn to enter the ring for our fifth draft prospect profile. In our first four pieces, Brew Hoop has looked at Colorado’s Tristan Da Silva, the Purdue big man Zach Edey, Miami’s Kyshawn George, and Dayton’s DaRon Holmes II. In this edition, we’ll be keeping it local with someone very familiar with playing at Fiserv Forum: Marquette’s Tyler Kolek.

Overview

Kolek transferred to Marquette prior to the 2021-2022 season to play under Shaka Smart after one year with George Mason University. After playing mostly as a facilitator in his sophomore season, Kolek exploded onto the scene his junior year, winning Big East Player of the Year and leading the Golden Eagles to their first Big East Tournament championship in program history before bowing out in the second round of the NCAA tournament.
