This 2020 NBA Draft class is littered with plenty of enticing guards and lead ball handlers, but Devon Dotson manages to stand out in his own way.
Before the coronavirus pandemic put a stop to sports and normal life as we knew it, Dotson was the leading scorer and driving force for the nation’s top-ranked team, the Kansas Jayhawks, by the unforeseen end of the season.
Dotson, who had tested draft waters last season before ultimately returning to Kansas for his sophomore season, had improved so much to that point that Kansas head coach Bill Self opined Dotson could have been the best guard to come through the university to The Athletic’s C.
