The timing of Sterling Brown‘s first foray into free agency is, as they say, less than ideal.
As we’ve covered extensively in light of the season stoppage, Brown stands among the surplus of Milwaukee Bucks rotation and depth players that will hit the free agent market, though he’s the lone player of theirs that will be a restricted free agent.
With the Bucks being able to match any offer they receive from an opposing team on Brown, that is quite a bargaining chip they have in their back pocket.
That goes along with the new financial realities that are facing the league and all 30 NBA teams in light of the lost revenue because of the season being suspended for the time being, which further helps the Bucks’ case at the proverbial negotiating table.
