Nothing screams bright future like new owners, a new stadium, and new jerseys. The Milwaukee Bucks have all of the above.
In April 2014, investors Marc Lasry and Wesley Edens agreed to buy the Bucks for half a billion dollars, as well as pledge $100 million to a new arena. The arena became official this summer, with Governor Scott Walker and the local government agreeing to subsidize a whopping $220 million. Combined with the $100 million promised by previous owner Herb Kohl, this puts Lasry and Edens in business.
Additionally, along with a few other NBA teams, the Bucks are unveiling some attractive, aesthetically and chromatically simple jerseys that symbolize this entrance into a new era (shown above).
