Ahead of the first action getting underway on Sunday, it’s tough to know just how much will realistically be learned from the first round playoff series between the Milwaukee Bucks and Detroit Pistons.
More often that not, clashes between the first and eighth seeds turn out to be routine and perfunctory, and there’s very little reason to believe this example will be any different.
Having said that, the game does contain some intriguing matchups, and perhaps none more interesting than the clash of styles set to play out at center.
As Brook Lopez and Andre Drummond go head-to-head, there’ll certainly be an element of the modern stretch shooting big going head-to-head with a more traditional interior focused center, which is made all the more interesting by the fact Lopez once fell into that second category too.
