The Milwaukee Bucks are in the NBA Finals for the first time since 1974 and the burning question everyone has on their minds is whether superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo will be ready for action.
A week after suffering a hyperextended left knee that forced him out of Games 5 and 6 of the Bucks’ triumphant Eastern Conference Finals series with the Atlanta Hawks, all signs are pointing to Antetokounmpo improbably returning in time for the start of the Finals.
ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski and Malika Andrews reported hours before Game 1 of the Bucks’ Finals series with the Phoenix Suns that Antetokounmpo is receiving around-the-clock treatment after being upgraded to questionable earlier Tuesday afternoon:
“Antetokounmpo has continued around-the-clock treatment on the knee with hopes of becoming cleared to play Tuesday night, sources told ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski and Malika Andrews.
