Last week, I was watching my beloved Milwaukee Brewers secure a 3-0 series sweep of the Colorado Rockies in the National League Division Series. I know, I’m starting a Milwaukee Bucks post by talking about baseball, but give me a second to make a point.
The Brewers’ star players certainly played a role in the dominant performance, from presumptive MVP Christian Yelich to strikeout machine Josh Hader, but in every game it was players who the Brewers acquired through trades and unheralded signings that made the difference.
In game one, Mike Moustakas, who was traded to Milwaukee from Kansas City midseason, hit a walk-off single.
