Through 17 games, there was very little source for real disappointment in the way the Milwaukee Bucks had started the season. With game 18 on Friday night, the Phoenix Suns changed that.
The Bucks fell to a narrow loss to one of the NBA’s very worst teams, showing a first glimpse of one of the frustrating tendencies that had plagued them in recent years.
With the visit of the San Antonio Spurs on Saturday, the Bucks will have to get back on track quickly, though, in what’s the final game of their six-game home stand.
At 9-9, the Spurs aren’t playing at quite the level they’ve become accustomed to over the past two decades or so, but as always, they remain intelligent, well-prepared, and ready to pounce at even the first scent of weakness.
