Not unlike the United States government at the moment, the Milwaukee Bucks were shut down in their efforts to prevail over the Washington Wizards Friday night as they fell 113-106.
The Bucks entered the night without their superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo and it showed not long after the opening tip as they got off to a very sluggish performance. Washington took full advantage and rode a hot shooting stretch throughout the entirety of the first quarter to hold a 40-26 lead after one.
A more grimy, sloppy second quarter unfolded and worked toward the Bucks’ favor as they looked to get back into the game from that point onwards.
