Even without superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo for the contest, the Milwaukee Bucks had few problems without the 24-year-old as they cruised to a 108-92 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers at Fiserv Forum on Monday night.
It was far from a crisp or even entertaining opening to the game for both teams. Yet the Bucks were able to shed their sluggish start and thanks in part to the Cavs enduring a near three-minute scoring drought late in the first quarter, the Bucks held a 31-18 after one.
The Bucks’ grasp of the lead increased substantially into the 20-point range midway through the second period with them hitting a flurry of triples.
