Three years into his stint with the Milwaukee Bucks and D.J. Wilson still stands as a player on the outside looking in.
The opportunity for playing time has come in waves for Wilson throughout his time in Milwaukee, more so under current Bucks head coach Mike Budenholzer. Who can forget the mini-sophomore breakout that Wilson flirted with last year as he broke through the team’s rotation at times and showed to be a promising defensive-minded piece during the Bucks’ 60-win season?
But as my colleague and co-site expert Adam McGee recently wrote about, Wilson is fast approaching a critical point in his career, a point reinforced by the fact that he will be extension-eligible this offseason, whenever that will officially begin.
