Considering the stable contributions the Milwaukee Bucks received from Thon Maker and Greg Monroe late in the year, it’d be easy to forget the difficulties they had early in the year at that position.
Of course, Miles Plumlee starting the season at the five off the back of a strong close to the previous season and a subsequent extension is a standout memory, but John Henson’s larger role when the team pivoted away from Plumlee is probably a little less memorable.
Henson started the year playing less than 20 minutes per game, coming off the bench for the first eight games of the year and even picking up a DNP along the way.
