St. Francis — On Thursday afternoon at the Orthopaedic Hospital of Wisconsin Training Center, the spotlight was on Greg Monroe, the 6-foot-11 center that spurned the New York Knicks and Los Angeles Lakers to join the Milwaukee Bucks.
Khris Middleton sat to Monroe's left, smiling as Monroe, general manager John Hammond and coach Jason Kidd fielded most of the questions. Though the shooting guard had just signed the second-largest contract in team history — five years, $70 million — Middleton wasn't the center of attention.
And that's just fine with Middleton. Soft-spoken and modest, Middleton likes to let his actions speak for him and doesn't need his ego stroked.
