In a year where they made plenty of headlines for their play on the court, the Milwaukee Bucks have continued to make headlines off the court, specifically with their new arena.
The fight and the debate for the new arena have long been over, but key elements regarding the project have continued to be worked on over the last few months behind closed doors.
On Wednesday, some of those elements have materialized as the Bucks announced that the team and the Wisconsin Center District have finalized an agreement on their arena lease.
The lease will run for 30 years once the arena is completed and as Bucks president Peter Feigin puts it in a statement released by the team, it’s a big day for the arena project going forward.
