It’s not always easy to figure out what exactly goes through the minds of NBA executives and coaches. They make decisions based on a whole host of considerations, and then from there they have to live with the consequences. One of the stranger decisions of the last few months has to be the Milwaukee Bucks’ signing of Jorge Gutierrez though.
Gutierrez is a Mexican point guard who has bounced between minor rotation roles in the NBA and starring spots in the D-League over the past couple of years.
Having been waived by the Brooklyn Nets earlier in the season, Gutierrez could have been forgiven for thinking his chance was gone, but his former Brooklyn coach Jason Kidd had other ideas.
