While a pair of losses to the Brooklyn Nets and Chicago Bulls without a full complement of stars may ultimately prove to be meaningless to the Milwaukee Bucks in the abstract, they proved fertile grounds for discussion and analysis on the latest episode of Deer Diaries (A Milwaukee Bucks Podcast!).
I was joined by Kyle Carr and Jack Trehearne last night to focus in on the nature of those losses—tight contests where the Bucks ran out of offensive fuel in the fourth, primarily—and what to take away from each. We discuss the trouble with role players tasked with taking on a slightly larger role (and how coaching can put them in position to succeed), inconsistent execution, and take a deeper look at Milwaukee’s “clutch” time ratings on the season.
