Steve Novak's stint with the Milwaukee Bucks was short-lived.
The Brown Deer native, former Marquette star and 10th year NBA player will miss the rest of the season with a sprained MCL in his left knee, the Bucks announced Sunday.
Novak, 32, was signed by his hometown team last Monday.
Novak had been traded by Oklahoma City to Denver at the deadline two weeks ago and the Nuggets bought out his contract. That allowed his agent to field offers from other teams, and the Bucks were in need of a three-point shooter off the bench.
