Atlanta — Former Marquette University standout Steve Novak has drawn serious interest from the Milwaukee Bucks, according to a league source, and could join the team in the next few days.
Novak will be able to join the Bucks when he clears waivers Sunday, after receiving a buyout from the Denver Nuggets on Friday. Novak was traded from the Oklahoma City Thunder to the Nuggets as part of a trade deadline deal Thursday.
The Bucks would have to release a player to add Novak as they are at the league maximum of 15 roster spots.
