St. Francis — Chris Copeland was back at practice Thursday after missing a week of training camp to deal with a serious family issue.
Copeland could emerge as a key bench player for the Milwaukee Bucks this season, due to his experience and his ability to knock down three-point shots. At 31, he's the oldest of the 15 players with guaranteed contracts on the roster.
And the 6-foot-8 forward has some history with coach Jason Kidd, after playing as Kidd's teammate with the New York Knicks during the 2012-'13 season.
That was Copeland's rookie season in the NBA, even though he had plenty of international experience during stints in Spain, Germany and Belgium.
