It was recently revealed that Bobby Portis had made the final cut for the NBA’s 2023-2024 Sixth Man of the Year Award alongside other finalists Naz Reid (Minnesota Timberwolves) and Malik Monk (Sacramento Kings). Tonight, we found out that he did not end up with the award, finishing third behind winner Reid with Monk in second:
It was an extremely tight race at the top between Reid and Monk, so surely Bobby’s candidacy helped swing things in some sense towards Reid in the end, although Portis finished quite a ways back of the top two.
