AP source: Bucks lock up Henson for 4 years, $44 million

A person with knowledge of the deal tells The Associated Press that the Milwaukee Bucks have locked up big man John Henson on a four-year extension worth $44 million.

The contract was agreed upon Friday morning and could reach $48 million with incentives. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because an official announcement has not been made.

The 24-year-old Henson averaged 7.0 points, 4.7 rebounds and 2.0 blocks in 18 minutes per game last season. But his playing time increased in the playoffs and the Bucks value the defensive presence he brings in the paint and his ability to guard multiple positions.
