For years, Milwaukee’s abhorrent Summer League squads have put up mediocre records. Now, they have a chance to do the seemingly impossible: Win two games in a row. Tonight, they face off against the Dallas Mavericks, who are sporting an 0-1 record after falling to the Phoenix Suns 92-85.
No word yet on whether Milwaukee’s only draft pick, The Big Ragu, will be able to suit up for the first time this Summer League. He’s hampered by a right groin strain he said has been hurting him for a few weeks. During Milwaukee’s 90-63 victory over the Detroit Pistons, DiVincenzo said he wanted to get to 100% before getting back into game action.
