MILWAUKEE -- Christian Yelich took the field for the final Sunday of the regular season chasing two crowns: the National League Central crown and the vaunted Triple Crown.
A remarkable second half positioned Yelich to make history, sending him into the final regularly scheduled game comfortably leading the National League with a .324 batting average, tied with the Cardinals' Matt Carpenter at a league-leading 36 home runs, and at 109 RBIs, two shy of the Cubs' Javier Baez's for the league lead in that category.

Yelich got his shot against the Tigers, who employ the last player to win a Triple Crown: Miguel Cabrera in 2012.
