Nashville — No one inside the Milwaukee Brewers organization disputes the notion that Orlando Arcia will be the team's starting shortstop at some point in the not-too-distant future.
When that happens depends on both opportunity and further development of the organization's 2015 minor league player of the year. The current plan is for Arcia to begin next season at Class AAA Colorado Springs until he is deemed ready for the major leagues.
"We think Orlando is a really competent player. He also hasn't played a day above Double-A," said Brewers general manager David Stearns. "There is development left and there are questions he's going to need to answer before we're ready to anoint him as a regular major-league player.
