The Brewers had the day off yesterday.
The buzz around the Brewers yesterday was in regards to the trade deadline. Would the Brewers pull off a big trade prior to the deadline, or would they stick with what they have? At the end of the day, they mostly decided to stick with the current roster, but they did make one addition. They brought back reliever Jeremy Jeffress in a trade with the Rangers, sending prospect Tayler Scott in return. This trade is more of a reclamation project than a competitive trade. Jeffress has been struggling in Texas this season, and with the Rangers selling, they were willing to trade him.
