Phoenix— Blaine Boyer, Chris Capuano and Franklin Morales are veteran relievers who each could add something to the Milwaukee Brewers' bullpen this season.
Barring an injury or unforeseen circumstance, however, all three cannot make the 25-man roster out of spring camp.
The days are dwindling before the Brewers must make decisions on all three pitchers, who are in camp on minor-league deals and therefore not on the 40-man roster. Rules state they must be told by Tuesday if they are making the major-league roster or be given a $100,000 retention bonus.
Players are allowed to strike their own deals in regard to that deadline, however, and Boyer must be told by Sunday.
