MILWAUKEE -- After the Brewers were blown out in Monday's series opener, Eric Thames returned to help take care of business against the cellar-dwelling Reds.
In a near-carbon copy of a victory the night before, Thames hit another two-run home run and three Brewers pitchers combined for Milwaukee's second straight 2-0 shutout while snow swirled outside Miller Park on Wednesday.
Zach Davies started and pitched into the seventh inning before Dan Jennings and Jacob Barnes closed the Brewers' first back-to-back shutouts at hitter-friendly Miller Park since winning three in a row against the Marlins from July 19-21, 2013.
