NEW YORK -- It appeared that minor injuries continued to mount for the Brewers on Sunday, when first baseman Eric Thames left the series finale against the Mets in the middle of the third inning for a reason not immediately disclosed.
Thames struck out looking against Noah Syndergaard in the first inning and went down swinging to end the top of the third before exiting the game. Jesus Aguilar took over.
The Brewers' other first-base option, Ryan Braun, was already sidelined by a stiff back.
