PITTSBURGH -- The Brewers' recent run scoring issues remained prevalent in Game 2 of Saturday's doubleheader at PNC Park with the Pirates as Milwaukee's 6-2 defeat extended its losing streak to a season-high five games. The Brewers have lost seven of their last nine since reeling off a five-game winning streak.
Milwaukee struggled to capitalize on scoring opportunities all day on Saturday. Between the two games, the Brewers plated three runs on 18 hits while going a combined 4-for-20 with runners in scoring position.
With two outs in the ninth inning, the Brewers were facing the possibility of being shutout for the 11th time this season when Jesus Aguilar grinded through a 10-pitch at-bat with the bases loaded against Michael Feliz before notching a two-run single up the middle to cut Milwaukee's deficit to four runs.
