All-Star Break Week saw only three games played, and they were more or less a disappointment.
The Brewers outscored the Reds 13-7 in their three game series and went 1-2. Shoulda, coulda, woulda. Two big innings in game two obscure the fact that once again the Brewers failed in opportunities that could have made a difference.
TOP HITTING STORY
Jonathan Villar had a good start to the second half, getting on base at a .500 clip and hitting .417. His defense was good, and he stole 2 bases. He did have a costly caught stealing for the third out in a big inning in game one, but perhaps he was just excited to be back playing baseball after the break.
