CINCINNATI -- Third baseman Travis Shaw returned to the lineup Thursday against the Reds after sitting out the Brewers' two-game series against Kansas City due to a flare-up of his sprained right wrist.
"I got after it pretty good in early [batting practice]," Shaw said. "The last five, six, seven swings were as close to 100 percent as I can get. I'm a lot more confident now than I was before this."
The Brewers will closely monitor Shaw's health. The wrist has bothered him for several weeks, explaining why he entered Thursday without a home run since June 5.
