Saladino exits after rolling ankle against base

MILWAUKEE -- Brewers shortstop Tyler Saladino was helped off the field during the third inning of the Brewers' game against the Cardinals on Tuesday night at Miller Park.

With the bases loaded in the third, second baseman Hernan Perez fielded a chopping ground ball and flipped it to Saladino at second for the forceout as Saladino's left ankle awkwardly twisted against the base.

Medical staff helped Saladino off the field, with the Brewers trailing the Cardinals, 4-0.

If Saladino faces an absence, the Brewers could bring back Opening Day shortstop Orlando Arcia, who was optioned to Triple-A Colorado Springs last Friday amid an offensive slump.
