CHICAGO -- The Brewers announced on Monday that right-hander Jimmy Nelson, who was struck in the head by a line drive last week, will be shut down for the rest of the season.
"Jimmy saw the neurologist [on Monday], and he's not going pitch the rest of the year," manager Craig Counsell said. "The neurologist just felt in his case, despite the fact he didn't have a concussion, he still had trauma to his head and, in his view, he felt it best that we don't take a risk so shortly after the moment it happened.
